The culture of India is an accommodating one. There is influence of western culture which is well threaded with the traditional attire. There is a trend that is fusion which makes us realize the value of our culture. There is maturity to go back to the roots in the sense the language culture in most homes is practiced as the native language. The schools too believe in giving an academic structure that has all the elements of first and second language being Hindi and the state language. Respecting the same, students take part in various activities to keep our languages alive.
The culture of India is very hospitable. Visiting the north, one can actually see the happiness in the farmer’s eyes when we go there as a tourist. Simple food and lifestyle dwells in the village. At times the villagers adapt themselves to the influence and experience the urban comforts when they visit the city. By and large the traditional folk dance and songs are still an integral part of rural area. The tourist love partaking in the dance and rituals.
Another trend is the culture of mixed marriage that is giving rise to mingling of geographical boundaries. People in mixed languages give their progeny a chance to learn more about their own native languages, customs and traditions. This is many times beneficial for young minds as they imbibe several values and practice the same. The ritual of religious culture is the biggest part of our festivals. The presence of a pandit and praying to the family deity is done in many homes. Grand processions like rath yatra make us feel proud of our culture.
The food and spices of India are special. Tasting the delicious spread during festivals and religious functions is a privilege. We feel proud of our varied cuisines and multi lingual ability. The wealth of India is the secular concept as we celebrate Diwali, Xmas and Id with equal fervor.
